
The South Africa-Washington Internship Programme trekked through the White House today, 13 July.
Upon meeting the likes of Wandile Mamba, Ilke Bosman, Thuli Montana, Dinika Govender, Tess Peacock, Matthew de la Hey, Thembi Losi, Dempers Meyer, Mangaka Meso, Mphumi Vungu Vungu, Crystal McIntosh, Irene Kim and Abednigo Zwane and Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh, these were amongst the statements made:
"I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone”
"These are our big thinkers in the world. This is a highly regarded group. People selected for this group means that they are respected by their peers and by the White House."
Just kidding...but it could've been true...
On a serious note:
Daar sal altyd mense en spasies wees wat ‘n ons, as persoon, in ‘n ernstige manier beinvloed. Wat ons druk in rigtings waar ons, onself nooit sien gaan het nie; of draai in direksies wat ons nooit verwag het nie.
Hierdie Program skep hierdie geleenthede regstreeks; oor en oor en keer op keer en die trappe van ontwikkeling is skynbaar onophoudend. Elke oomblik, item en gesprek leun dit self aan ontwikkeling en groei.
‘n Oop gesindheid en wil om te absorbeer en leer is ‘n absolute noodsaaklikheid as ‘n mens werklik wil kapitaliseer op die geleenthede wat plaasvind binne in die raamwerk van hierdie projek.
Die profesieë van leierskap versterk die raamwerke wat ons tot dus ver opgebou het deur aannames te vervang met merkwaardige en oosrpongklike ervaring.
