Here are some facts to keep in mind...
- Applications for 2012 will open on the 30th January 2012 and remain open until midnight on the 24th February 2012.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your application is submitted completely and correctly, and also succinctly.
- As you will discover, the application form is not brief and requires a considerable amount of work. So we recommend that you do not leave it to the last minute.
- You will also discover a second Instruction Document 2012 that explains the application form and gives you all the important information that you need. Be sure to read it in full BEFORE you fill in the application.
You will receive an automatic on-screen response once you have completed your application. If you have any questions about your application, please contact us BEFORE the 24th of February. Any inquiries beyond this date cannot be accommodated.
Successful applicants will be notified if they have been selected for an interview by the 6th March 2012.
Interviews will be conducted in the week of the 8th - 16th March 2012 and you will hear if you made it to the selection camp by the 19th March 2012.
The following are key criteria that evaluators will be looking for in each application:
- Candidate demonstrates positive leadership qualities
- Candidate demonstrates a commitment to service
- Candidate demonstrates attention to their academic success
- Candidate shows commitment to the mission, vision and values of SAWIP
- We will select a minimum of 3 candidates from each university
