Real world experience provided through six week work exposure in prestigious environments in Washington, DC.

 

The South Africa-Washington International Program is helping to inspire, prepare and support South African youth to lead a sustainable democracy with a peaceful and prosperous future for all its citizens.

Michael Brian Currin

Michael is a co founder of SAWIP and has worked as a volunteer for the programme since 2005. He now serves as a member of the board.

Michael holds a degree in Electro Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. He works as a Product developer for ELW Global, a company which develops, supplies and procures products and equipment for organisations mandated by the U.S. State Department to carry out peacekeeping, humanitarian and logistical support mission in Africa.

Michael is passionate about design and its role within the evolution of society and the improvement of people's lives. He has recently been accepted into a Masters programme in London to study Innovation Design Engineering which he will be commencing in October 2012. He has been awarded a Chevening Scholarship for his Masters by the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom.
