Here are some facts to keep in mind... - Applications for 2010 will open the 10th of February 2010 and remain open midnight on Sunday the 7th of March 2010.
- Your application must be submitted in Microsoft Word.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your application is submitted completely and correctly, and also succinctly. Verbosity will not be rewarded!
- As you will discover, the application form is not brief. It is 14 pages long and requires a whole lot of work. So we recommend that you do not leave it to the last minute. Download a copy early and start working on a draft. This document requires MS Word.
You will also discover a second Instruction Document 2010 that explains the Application form and gives you all the important information that you need. Be sure to read it in full BEFORE you fill in the application. This document requires Adobe Reader. SAWIP will email you a response to let you know that your application has been received. If you don't receive that confirmation, please email us a query to make sure. Sometimes, there are technical hitches. Successful applicants will be notified if they have been selected for an interview by the 13th of March 2010. Interviews will be conducted in the week of the 15th to the 19th of March 2010 and you will hear if you made it to the selection camp by the 22nd of March. Have you carefully read all of the above? - OPEN the SAWIP Instructions 2010 document on your computer and BE SURE TO CAREFULLY READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS.
- OPEN the SAWIPApplication2010 and FILL IT OUT.
- When you have finished, use SAVE AS to save the file and be sure to use YOUR OWN NAME in the file name with family name first followed by your first name (no space), eg. SmithMary.SAWIP2010.doc. NOTE: failure to name your file using your own name could result in misidentification of your file.
