14 Days and counting…

From concluding resonant leadership training to keeping our Composure in the presence of men like former-president FW de Klerk, I am convinced that all my fellow Sawipers are boiling with anticipation and glowing with excitement of  the next stage our SAWIP journey is about to take us.

While reading Emma’s blog post I observed a few things that I had also experienced while doing my public service: the beauty of servanthood and the fruits of it. Seeing the photos of a person doing a simple act of service by sharing her knowledge with those hungry for any made me rejoice from within. What is more, whenever people go out to serve without an agenda of wanting something back they will always report on what they have received from those whom they were serving. The economy of sharing proves to be a fruitful one! We have been chosen to become part of the SAWIP family and it truly is providing a platform for somewhat unforgettable and indescribably special  South African experiences. We are given the opportunity to practice and grow in one of the three characteristics which a resonant leader cannot stand without-CARING.

As Jean departs today for DC were are also thinking of her and wish her the best of luck with the organization and management of the program. May her confidence and and composure be sustained in all circumstances while caring along the way… we will be following shortly!
